The following are two methods for detecting the working status of silicone oil fan clutch:
Firstly, after the car engine has cooled down, observe whether there are any residues of silicone oil fan clutch. If a large amount of silicone oil residue is found, it usually means that there may be a problem with the working condition of the silicone oil fan clutch.
Secondly, conduct an inspection under hot conditions. When the engine starts and the car water temperature approaches 90 degrees Celsius, check the operation and sound of the silicone oil fan clutch. If the fan makes obvious noise, it is likely a signal that the silicone oil fan clutch is not working properly.
Regarding the daily use precautions of silicone oil fan clutch, the following points are worth paying attention to:
Before installing the clutch, it is necessary to thoroughly clean it to remove rust proof grease and other impurities.
2. The clutch can be installed coaxially or separately, but regardless of the method, the axial fixation must be ensured, and there must be no axial movement between the active and driven parts. When installing the split axis, the coaxiality error between the active and driven shafts shall not exceed 0.1mm.
3. For wet electromagnetic clutches, lubricating oil needs to be added between the friction plates during operation. The lubrication method can be selected according to the actual situation, such as pouring oil lubrication, oil bath lubrication, or axis oil supply lubrication. Especially during high-speed and high-frequency operations, it is recommended to use axial fuel supply.
When installing a tooth embedded electromagnetic clutch, it should be ensured that there is a certain gap between the end face teeth to avoid tooth grinding during idling, but the size of the gap should be controlled within an appropriate range and should not exceed the specified δ value.
5. The insulation level of the electromagnetic clutch and brake is Class B, and the normal temperature rise they can withstand is 40 ℃. In the extreme thermal equilibrium state, its operating temperature should not exceed 100 ℃, otherwise it may cause damage to the coil and friction parts.
6. The power supply for the clutch is usually 24 volts DC (except in special circumstances), which is obtained by reducing the voltage and full wave rectification (or bridge rectification) of three-phase or single-phase AC voltage. At the same time, the power of the power supply must be sufficiently large and a half wave rectifier power supply should not be used.
